Privacy policy

1. What we collect

Pre-launch, we only collect:

  • Email address (required to join the waitlist).
  • Name (optional).
  • Self-described role (retail, creator, RIA, prop, other — optional).
  • Request metadata: IP address and user agent, captured automatically for spam prevention and log integrity.

Post-launch, if you create a paid account, we additionally collect billing information via Stripe (we never see your raw card data), plus usage data (analyses performed, watchlist composition) needed to provide the Service. A separate account-level privacy policy will cover that.

2. Why we collect it

  • Notify you when Moneycast launches.
  • Send limited pre-launch product updates (≤ one per month).
  • Understand which customer segments are interested (aggregate only).
  • Prevent spam and abuse of the waitlist form.

We will not email you about unrelated products, sell your data to third parties, or use your data for behavioural advertising.

3. Tracking & analytics

No third-party advertising trackers or cross-site identifiers are used on this site. Server logs are retained for 30 days and contain only what is strictly necessary for operations (request timing, response codes, IP, user agent).

4. Who we share data with

  • Email delivery provider (Resend or equivalent) — receives your email address to deliver messages you opted into.
  • Cloud host (Fly.io / Cloudflare) — runs the infrastructure; receives IP + metadata as a processor.
  • Payment processor (Stripe, post-launch) — processes payments you initiate.
  • Legal authorities — only when required by valid legal process.

Each of these is bound by its own Data Processing Agreement. We do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.

5. Data retention

Waitlist entries are retained until (a) you request deletion, (b) you complete account signup (at which point the account-level policy applies), or (c) 24 months have passed without engagement, whichever comes first. Server logs are retained 30 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Port your data to another service.
  • Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@moneycast.ai. We respond within 30 days.

7. California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

8. EU / UK (GDPR)

If you are in the EU or UK, our legal basis for processing is (a) your consent when you submit the waitlist form, (b) legitimate interest for fraud prevention and service operations. You may withdraw consent at any time. Complaints may be filed with your local supervisory authority.

9. Children

Moneycast is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn a minor has submitted data, we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change. Material changes trigger an email to the address you provided.
